What wisdom do these celebrations offer us during the darkest time of the year? Join this Interfaith Advent celebration to honor the varied Festivals of Light, exploring the mysteries they reveal. This season teaches us of resilience, finding light in the darkness, and the power of community.
We'll dive into what science reveals about the wonder of light, along with mystics who speak of the "spark of the soul" that never fades—the birth of divinity as a child of light, which each of us carries within.
Advent: A Sacred Journey into Light & Mystery
Advent is a time for inner reflection, prayer, and meditation. In the Christian tradition, this season highlights the Divine Feminine: two pregnant women, Mary and Elizabeth, sharing blessings at home. They listen to each other's wisdom as they prepare to bring forth the Divine. This season invites intimacy, connection, and listening "with the ear of the heart" (St. Benedict).
Music, Ritual, and a Unique International Gathering
We will gather for chants, songs, poems, and stories to enrich the sacred season.
Matthew Fox, from the US, joins Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain, Owen Ó Súilleabháin, and Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin - celebrated performers from Ireland to offer Irish sacred music and storytelling.
This collaboration invites participants from the US, Ireland, Europe, and beyond to join in an interspiritual celebration of Light. Hosted online, we transcend borders and celebrate a universal message of hope and Light.

Rev. Matthew Fox, PhD, author, theologian, and activist priest, has been calling people of spirit and conscience into the Creation Spirituality lineage for over 50 years. His 42 books; and his lectures, retreats, and innovative education models have ignited an international movement to awaken people to be mystics, prophets, and contemplative activists, who honor and defend the earth and work for justice. He has contributed to the rediscovery of Hildegard of Bingen, Meister Eckhart and Thomas Aquinas as pre-modern mystics and prophets. Fox holds a doctorate in the history and theology of spirituality from the Institut Catholique de Paris. The founder of the University of Creation Spirituality in California, he conducts dozens of workshops each year and is a visiting scholar at the Academy for the Love of Learning.

Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain PhD is an Interfaith Minister (One Spirit Interfaith Seminary), an internationally acclaimed spiritual singer, theologian, writer, musicologist, and Celtic Spirituality expert.
Owen Ó Súilleabháin is a singer, composer, and teacher, and believes in the power of art to awaken our most dynamic and creative forms into being. He has worked with some of the greatest artists in the world such as director Steven Spielberg, actor Russell Crowe, violinist Nigel Kennedy, The Chieftains and poet David Whyte.
Mícheál ‘Moley’ Ó Súilleabháin is from one of Ireland’s most esteemed musical and artistic families. Singers, storytellers, poets, their vocal harmony and stories of life experience, mixed with a wild sense of humor, make you feel at ease, in awe, and entirely entertained.
